Samskrit (Sanskrit) is the oldest language known to man. It is a perfected language being purely phonetic where each word represents the object itself. It is made up of two shubdhas (words) - SAMYAK (thoroughly/properly) and KṚTAM (done/created), which is Samayakkṛtam > Samskṛtam > Samskrit.
In order to support your interest in this group I have built a list some of the many benefits derived from absorbing Vedic Śubdha Pramāna verses into our gross and subtle body. The body is asat or temporary but the śloka verses are sat or eternal and remain as a permanent fixture of our subtle body which we carry into our next life.
"Please read through this list of points and choose the ones that are of interest and relate to your life style and goals."
Learning ślokas helps you to:
- Improve one's ability to prompt our memory to remember relevant philosophical points whilst sharing scriptural knowledge with others
- Sharpen one's hearing skills, thus enabling us to learn and memorise important spiritual knowledge
- Build a stronger spiritual persona and dynamic characteristics improving one's self confidence
- According to professional research, increases brain capacity and strengthens memory cells. This commonly known as the 'Sanskrit Effect' (See separate post below)
- Speaking the Sanskrit language is known to help reduce the possibilities of developing Alzheimers disease and Dementia
- Develop a conscious relationship with the Lord in the heart known as Śrī Paramatma or Supersoul
- Absorbing verses from Bhagavad Gīta, Srīmad Bhagavatam, Caitanya Caritamrta, Sri Iśopaniśad etc, tunes one's consciousness into the Lord's spiritual frequency and enables one to hear His constant inner guidance as the Chaitya Guru within
- Develop a solid foundation for anyone, whether initiated or non initiated in a speaking or sharing opportunity that comes one's way
- Make an Eternal Investment since the ślokas remain within one's deep sub consciousness ad infinitum as a feature of the souls's 'Sat' eternal and 'Cit' cognitive feature. Read Gajendra Moksha in SB 8th Canto for detailed information
- Develop a greater sense of achievement and spiritual self esteem in as much as accumulating wealth gives one a subliminal sense of security and satisfaction
We are awarding 'Shlokarship Certificates' group members who learn essential key verses. For example Śrīmad Bhagavatam 1.1.1 & 2, Caitanya Caritāmṛta Adi Lila 1.3 - 11, Brahma Samhīta latter part of Chapter 5 and other selected verses like Bhagavad Gīta 15.15 etc.
